ACTIVITIES
In addition to conducting the regular Orientation Programmes and Refresher Courses the ASC has undertaken a number of extension activities.
Publication of an annual interdisciplinary journal of the Social Sciences & Humanities QUEST (ISSN No.0974-5041). Three issues have already been published. It is now to be published in Hindi also, with two issues (one each in Hindi and English) in one year. It is hoped this journal will provide an open forum for publication of quality research work, and also for interaction among academicians and interlinkages among various disciplines. Floating a Think Tank, IDEAS, which is envisaged as a center for policy research, interaction and networking. IDEAS also undertake exercises to aid policy implementation.
Module formulation, compilation and publication of supplementary study material to aid the trainees. Short term training exercises in disaster management, medical first aid, communication skills, and stress management.
